The great thing about California is that there are so many natural wonders within driving distance.
We felt like hiking, so we decided to drive to that wonderfully scenic park that’s only 10 miles or so away on 280. Arrived to find that every parking space was full in each of the several large parking lots. Drove around the lots for a while with the other cars, hoping like them that something would open up. Then we drove home.
