I used to blog occasionally, in bursts. One burst was around the turn of the century (1999-2000), and all those posts are lost to time. Then again around 2004, and again around 2013, and all those posts are below, for better or worse.
I’ve just semi-retired (June 1 2022), and feel another burst coming on. Since I last blogged I’ve heard that blogs are dead, and no one reads them anymore. That sounds … perfect! What I need is a write-once/read-never medium where I can publicly set down my innermost private thoughts without any fear of exposure, or judgment, or being read. So thank you so much to all of you out there who are not reading this now.
Likely topics here are startup investing, machine learning, AI in general, science fiction, literary fiction, electronic music and recording, songwriting, coding, board games, game creation, renewable energy, and live poker (especially the World Series of Poker).
